You will be receiving moss that is fresh and alive, we pack our sphagnum with air and moisture this way she can be shipped long distances. Our sphagnum is grown in our green houses in big man made ponds, when we receive an order the moss is package and sent next day (not including weekends) this way the moss as a fresh as possible.

Our pellets are made from full fat unpasteurized goat milk straight from the udder, mixed with red clay and dehydrated at 70 degrees. Our fertiliser pellets are perfect for terrariums, living walls, moss gardens exterior as interior. But of course this is an amazing fertiliser for all plants including roses, vegetables, pot plants etc.
Why is goat milk the best fertiliser for moss and other terrarium plants?
This is our secret to the beautiful moss we grow in our moss nursery, our ferns and succulents and orchids and other rock garden plants, in fact, our whole farm!
Like all plants, moss needs nitrogen, either gleaned from the soil and substrate or from water uptake. If your moss doesn’t get enough nutrients from rainfall or substrate a mild, organic fertilizer, such as one containing lactic acid from goat milk which non-protein nitrogen content is usually 5-8 % of total nitrogen. Signs your moss needs fertilization include spotty growth and poor color.
Sphagnum flexuosum, Flexuous Bog-moss is a medium-sized species that grows in carpets; green, or with a white and yellowish tinge;
Stem and branches are pale, sliver white.
Outer capitulum branches are particularly long and pale, stellate, contrasting with inner branches, which are often concentrically arranged when viewed from above.
Pendent branches are usually shorter than spreading branches.
Spreading branch leaves are, at most, in straight lines in the basal two-thirds of the branch.
Branch leaves are larger and more loosely inserted than in S. angustifolium, giving a shaggy appearance.
Stem leaves are triangularly tongue-shaped to tongueshaped, longer than wide, and with a blunt, more or less fringed tip.
When dry, the spreading branch leaves have a puffed out appearance.
Grows in slightly mineral-rich sites, for example, poor fens and wet woodland. -
